If he passes by and throws someone in prison or convenes a court, who can stop him?


Whatever he tears down cannot be rebuilt; whoever he imprisons cannot be released.


But when God is silent, who can declare him guilty? When he hides his face, who can see him? Yet he watches over both individuals and nations,


Listen to this, Job. Stop and consider God’s wonders.


If he snatches something, who can stop   him? Who can ask him, ‘What are you doing? ’


What is crooked cannot be straightened; what is lacking cannot be counted.


He has made everything appropriate  in its time.  He has also put eternity in their hearts,  but no one can discover the work God has done from beginning to end.


I observed all the work of God and concluded that a person is unable to discover the work that is done under the sun. Even though a person labours hard to explore it, he cannot find it;  even if a wise person claims to know it, he is unable to discover it.


The Lord of Armies himself has planned it; therefore, who can stand in its way? It is his hand that is outstretched, so who can turn it back?


Also, from today on I am he alone, and none can rescue from my power. I act, and who can reverse it? ’


At their feasts they have lyre, harp, tambourine, flute, and wine. They do not perceive the  Lord’s actions, and they do not see the work of his hands.


All the inhabitants of the earth are counted as nothing, and he does what he wants  with the army of heaven and the inhabitants of the earth. There is no one who can block his hand or say to him, ‘What have you done? ’


If then you’re not able to do even a little thing, why worry about the rest?


For he tells Moses, I will show mercy to whom I will show mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.   ,


You will say to me,  therefore, ‘Why then does he still find fault?  For who resists his will? ’


In him we have also received an inheritance,  because we were predestined  according to the plan of the one who works out everything in agreement with the purpose of his will,
