In addition, I will give you what you did not ask for: both riches and honour,  so that no king will be your equal during your entire life.


wisdom and knowledge are given to you. I will also give you riches, wealth, and glory, unlike what was given to the kings who were before you, or will be given to those after you.’


It is also the gift of God whenever anyone eats, drinks, and enjoys all his efforts.


God gives a person riches, wealth, and honour  so that he lacks nothing of all he desires for himself,  but God does not allow him to enjoy them. Instead, a stranger will enjoy them. This is futile and a sickening tragedy.


but remember that the Lord your God gives you the power to gain wealth, in order to confirm his covenant he swore to your ancestors,  as it is today.
