When Isaac was old and his eyes were so weak that he could not see,  he called his elder son Esau and said to him, ‘My son.’ And he answered, ‘Here I am.’


Now his eyesight was poor because of old age; he could hardly  see.  Joseph brought them to him, and he kissed and embraced them.


The Lord of Armies says this: ‘Old men and women will again sit along the streets of Jerusalem, each with a staff in hand because of their advanced age.


One day Eli, whose eyesight was failing,  was lying in his usual place.
