Suddenly, all the men of Israel came to the king. They asked him, ‘Why did our brothers, the men of Judah, take you away secretly and transport the king and his household across the Jordan, along with all of David’s men? ’


He answered, ‘If the Lord doesn’t help you, where can I get help for you? From the threshing-floor or the winepress? ’


He announced, ‘May God punish me and do so severely  if the head of Elisha son of Shaphat remains on his shoulders today.’


Every sensible person acts knowledgeably, but a fool displays his stupidity.


If a wise person goes to court with a fool, there will be ranting and raving but no resolution.  ,


yet the fool multiplies words. No one knows what will happen, and who can tell anyone what will happen after him?


Do not be hasty to speak, and do not be impulsive to make a speech before God. God is in heaven and you are on earth, so let your words be few.


I turned my thoughts to know, explore, and examine wisdom  and an explanation for things, and to know that wickedness is stupidity and folly is madness.


Then Herod, when he realised that he had been outwitted by the wise men, flew into a rage. He gave orders to massacre all the boys in and around Bethlehem who were two years old and under, in keeping with the time he had learned from the wise men.


When the Pharisee saw this, he was amazed that he did not first perform the ritual washing  , before dinner.


They, however, were filled with rage and started discussing with one another what they might do to Jesus.


But some of the Pharisees said, ‘Why are you doing what is not lawful on the Sabbath? ’


But the chief priests had decided to kill Lazarus also,


On the fourth  day they said to Samson’s wife, ‘Persuade your husband to explain the riddle to us, or we will burn you and your father’s family to death. Did you invite us here to rob us? ’
