But I didn’t believe the reports until I came and saw with my own eyes. Indeed, I was not even told half. Your wisdom and prosperity far exceed the report I heard.


Solomon’s wisdom was greater than the wisdom of all the people of the East,  greater than all the wisdom of Egypt.


My servants will bring the logs down from Lebanon to the sea, and I will make them into rafts to go by sea to the place you indicate. I will break them apart there, and you can take them away. You then can meet my needs by providing my household with food.’


Gehazi,  the attendant of Elisha the man of God, thought, ‘My master has let this Aramean Naaman off lightly by not accepting from him what he brought. As the Lord lives,  I will run after him and get something from him.’

I said to myself, ‘Go ahead, I will test you with pleasure;  enjoy what is good.’ But it turned out to be futile.


So I said to myself, ‘What happens to the fool will also happen to me. Why then have I been overly wise? ’  And I said to myself that this is also futile.


So I became great and surpassed all who were before me in Jerusalem;  my wisdom also remained with me.


I said to myself, ‘God will judge the righteous and the wicked,  since there is a time for every activity and every work.’


who says, ‘I will build myself a massive palace, with spacious upstairs rooms.’ He will cut windows  in it, and it will be panelled with cedar and painted bright red.


the king exclaimed, ‘Is this not Babylon the Great that I have built to be a royal residence by my vast power and for my majestic glory? ’


But solid food is for the mature #– #for those whose senses have been trained to distinguish between good and evil.
