In those days I also saw Jews who had married women from Ashdod, Ammon, and Moab.


Then Tobiah the Ammonite,  who was beside him, said, ‘Indeed, even if a fox  climbed up what they are building, he would break down their stone wall! ’


When Sanballat, Tobiah, and the Arabs,  Ammonites, and Ashdodites heard that the repair to the walls of Jerusalem was progressing and that the gaps were being closed,  they became furious.


No foreigner who has joined himself to the  Lord should say, ‘The Lord will exclude me from his people,’ and the eunuch should not say, ‘Look, I am a dried-up tree.’


About the Ammonites,  this is what the Lord says: Does Israel have no sons? Is he without an heir? Why then has Milcom  , dispossessed Gad and his people settled in their cities?


The adversary has seized all her precious belongings. She has even seen the nations enter her sanctuary – those you had forbidden to enter your assembly.


‘You have heard that it was said, Love your neighbour   , and hate your enemy.


No one of illegitimate birth may enter the Lord’s assembly; none of his descendants, even to the tenth generation, may enter the Lord’s assembly.


The redeemer replied, ‘I can’t redeem it myself, or I will ruin my own inheritance. Take my right of redemption, because I can’t redeem it.’
