Then Jacob said to Laban, ‘Since my time is complete, give me my wife, so I can sleep with  her.’


For that would be a disgrace; it would be an iniquity deserving punishment.


I will judge you the way adulteresses and those who shed blood are judged.  Then I will bring about the shedding of your blood in jealous wrath.


‘If a man commits adultery  with a married woman #– #if he commits adultery with his neighbour’s wife #– #both the adulterer and the adulteress must be put to death.


But after he had considered these things, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, ‘Joseph, son of David, don’t be afraid to take Mary as your wife, because what has been conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit.


When Joseph woke up, he did as the Lord’s angel had commanded him. He married her


God judges outsiders. Remove the evil person from among you.   ,


And you are arrogant! Shouldn’t you be filled with grief  and remove from your congregation the one who did this?


That prophet or dreamer must be put to death,  because he has urged rebellion against the Lord your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt and redeemed you from the place of slavery,  to turn you from the way the Lord your God has commanded you to walk. You must purge the evil from you.


The witnesses’ hands are to be the first in putting him to death, and after that, the hands of all the people.  You must purge the evil from you.


Then if you are not satisfied with her, you are to let her go where she wants, but you must not sell her or treat her as merchandise,  because you have humiliated her.


If there is a young woman who is a virgin engaged to a man, and another man encounters her in the city and sleeps with her,


But if the man encounters an engaged woman in the open country, and he seizes and rapes her, only the man who raped her must die.
