These events took place during the days of Ahasuerus,  who ruled 127 provinces  from India to Cush.


Set apart the nations for battle against her – the kings of Media, her governors and all her officials, and all the lands they rule.


In the first year of Darius the Mede,  I stood up to strengthen and protect him.)


King Nebuchadnezzar sent word to assemble the satraps, prefects, governors, advisers, treasurers, judges, magistrates, and all the rulers  of the provinces to attend the dedication of the statue King Nebuchadnezzar had set up.


and Darius the Mede  received the kingdom at the age of sixty-two.


and over them three administrators, including Daniel.  These satraps would be accountable to them so that the king would not be defrauded.


In the first year of Darius,  the son of Ahasuerus, a Mede by birth, who was made king over the Chaldean kingdom #– #


or to governors as those sent out by him to punish those who do what is evil and to praise those who do what is good.
