Then they will call me, but I won’t answer; they will search for me, but won’t find me.


A mocker seeks wisdom and doesn’t find it, but knowledge comes easily to the perceptive.


Without revelation  , people run wild, but one who follows divine instruction will be happy.


‘Son of man, speak with the elders of Israel and tell them, “This is what the Lord God says: Are you coming to enquire of me? As I live, I will not let you enquire of me.  This is the declaration of the Lord God.”


When you offer your gifts, sacrificing your children in the fire,  , you still continue to defile yourselves with all your idols today. So should I let you enquire of me, house of Israel? As I live #– #this is the declaration of the Lord God  #– #I will not let you enquire of me!


‘But you, Daniel, keep these words secret  and seal the book  until the time of the end.  Many will roam about,  and knowledge will increase.’


They go with their flocks and herds to seek the  Lord but do not find him; he has withdrawn from them.


Anyone who is not with me is against me,   and anyone who does not gather with me scatters.


The boy Samuel served the Lord in Eli’s presence.  In those days the word of the Lord was rare and prophetic visions were not widespread.
