The wicked flee when no one is pursuing them, but the righteous are as bold as a lion.


Therefore the Lord God said: ‘Look, I have laid a stone  in Zion, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone, a sure foundation; the one who believes will be unshakable.  ,


Notice the stone  I have set before Joshua; on that one stone are seven eyes.  I will engrave an inscription on it’ #– #this is the declaration of the Lord of Armies #– #‘and I will take away the iniquity of this land in a single day.


‘Elijah does come first and restores   all things,’   he replied. ‘Why then is it written   that the Son of Man must suffer   many things and be treated with contempt?


Which of the prophets did your ancestors not persecute?  They even killed those who foretold the coming of the Righteous One, whose betrayers and murderers  you have now become.


Since, then, we have such a hope,  we act with great boldness.


Therefore, since we have this ministry because we were shown mercy,  we do not give up.
