“The Lord has appointed you priest in place of the priest Jehoiada to be the chief officer  in the temple of the Lord, responsible for every madman  who acts like a prophet. You must confine him in the stocks  and an iron collar.


So it also seemed good to me, since I have carefully investigated everything from the very first, to write to you in an orderly sequence, most honourable  Theophilus,

but in your hearts regard  Christ  the Lord as holy, ready at any time to give a defence to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you.


not paying back evil for evil  or insult for insult but, on the contrary, giving a blessing,  since you were called for this, so that you may inherit a blessing.
