And say,  ‘Save us, God of our salvation; gather us and rescue us from the nations so that we may give thanks to your holy name and rejoice in your praise.


They will fight against you but never prevail over you,  since I am with you to rescue you.’  This is the Lord’s declaration.


Do not be afraid of anyone, for I will be with you to rescue you. This is the  Lord’s declaration.


For you are not being sent to a people of unintelligible speech or a difficult language but to the house of Israel –


But the Jews incited the prominent God-fearing women and the leading men of the city. They stirred up persecution against Paul and Barnabas and expelled them from their district.


So they came to appease them, and escorting them from prison, they urged them to leave town.


As soon as it was night, the brothers and sisters sent Paul and Silas away to Berea.  Upon arrival, they went into the synagogue of the Jews.


Then the brothers and sisters immediately sent Paul away to go to the coast, but Silas and Timothy  stayed on there.


For I am with you, and no one will lay a hand on you to hurt you, because I have many people in this city.’


asking for a favour against Paul, that Festus summon him to Jerusalem. They were, in fact, preparing an ambush along the road to kill him.


Therefore, let it be known to you that this salvation of God has been sent to the Gentiles; they will listen.’


But the Lord said to him, ‘Go, for this man is my chosen instrument   to take my name to Gentiles,   kings, and Israelites.


Now I am speaking to you Gentiles. Insofar as I am an apostle to the Gentiles,  I magnify my ministry,


to be a minister of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles,  serving as a priest of the gospel of God.  God’s purpose is that the Gentiles may be an acceptable offering,  sanctified by the Holy Spirit.


When James,  Cephas,  , and John   #– #those recognised as pillars   #– #acknowledged the grace that had been given to me, they gave the right hand of fellowship to me and Barnabas, agreeing that we should go to the Gentiles and they to the circumcised.


For this I was appointed a herald, an apostle  (I am telling the truth;  I am not lying), and a teacher of the Gentiles  in faith and truth.


For this gospel I was appointed  a herald, apostle, and teacher,


along with the persecutions and sufferings  that came to me in Antioch,  Iconium,  and Lystra.  What persecutions I endured #– #and yet the Lord rescued me from them all.
