Acts 17:25
25 Tagairtí Cros

Then the Lord God formed the man out of the dust from the ground  and breathed the breath of life into his nostrils,  and the man became a living being.

The life of every living thing is in his hand, as well as the breath of all humanity.

Can a man be of any use to God? Can even a wise man be of use to him?

as long as my breath is still in me and the breath from God remains in my nostrils,

The Spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty  gives me life.

If he put his mind to it and withdrew the spirit  and breath he gave,

This is what God, the Lord, says – who created the heavens and stretched them out, who spread out the earth and what comes from it, who gives breath to the people on it and spirit to those who walk on it   –

For I will not accuse you for ever, and I will not always be angry; for then the spirit would grow weak before me, even the breath, which I have made.

King Zedekiah swore to Jeremiah in private,  ‘As the Lord lives, who has given us this life,  I will not kill you or hand you over to these men who intend to take your life.’

A pronouncement: The word of the Lord concerning Israel. A declaration of the  Lord, who stretched out the heavens, laid the foundation of the earth, and formed the spirit of man within him.

But Moses and Aaron fell face down  and said, ‘God, God who gives breath to all,  , when one man sins, will you vent your wrath on the whole community? ’

‘May the Lord, the God who gives breath to all,  , appoint a man over the community

so that you may be   children of your Father in heaven. For he causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.

Go and learn what this means: I desire mercy and not sacrifice.   , For I didn’t come to call the righteous, but sinners.’

although he did not leave himself without a witness,  since he did what is good by giving you rain from heaven and fruitful seasons  and filling you with food and your hearts with joy.’

For in him we live and move and have our being, as even some of your own poets have said, “For we are also his offspring.”

And who has ever given to God, that he should be repaid?   ,

love the Lord your God, obey him, and remain faithful  to him. For he is your life, and he will prolong your days as you live in the land the Lord swore to give to your ancestors  Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.’

Instruct those who are rich in the present age not to be arrogant  or to set their hope on the uncertainty of wealth, but on God,  who richly provides us with all things  to enjoy.
