Now when he heard this, he said, ‘It is not those who are well who need a doctor, but those who are ill.


Indeed, he was so ill that he nearly died. However, God had mercy on him, and not only on him but also on me, so that I would not have sorrow upon sorrow.


Everyone should look not to his own interests,  but rather to the interests of others.


We ought to thank God always for you, brothers and sisters, and rightly so, since your faith is flourishing and the love  each one of you has for one another  is increasing.


But we ought to thank God always for you, brothers and sisters loved by the Lord, because from the beginning  God has chosen  you for salvation through sanctification  by the Spirit and through belief in the truth.


Above all, my brothers and sisters, do not swear, either by heaven or by earth or with any other oath.  But let your ‘yes’ mean ‘yes,’ and your ‘no’ mean ‘no,’ so that you won’t fall under judgement.


Above all, maintain constant love  for one another, since love covers a multitude of sins.   ,


But grow in the grace and knowledge  of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity.  ,

I know your   affliction and poverty, but you are rich. I know the slander of those who say they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan.
