After these events, the word of the Lord came  to Abram in a vision: Do not be afraid,  Abram. I am your shield; your reward will be very great.


God #– #his way is perfect; the word of the  Lord is pure. He is a shield to all who take refuge in him.


The Lord lives #– #blessed be my rock! God, the rock of my salvation,  is exalted.


He frees me from my enemies. You exalt me above my adversaries; you rescue me from violent men.


He is a tower of salvation for   his king; he shows loyalty to his anointed, to David and his descendants for ever.


The God of Israel spoke; the Rock of Israel said to me, ‘The one who rules the people with justice, who rules in the fear of God,


The Lord is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation. This is my God, and I will praise him, my father’s God, and I will exalt him.


The name of the  Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are protected.  ,


Every word of God is pure;  , he is a shield to those who take refuge in him.


Indeed, God is my salvation; I will trust him and not be afraid, for the Lord, the  Lord  himself, is my strength and my song. He has become my salvation.’


Each will be like a shelter from the wind, a refuge from the rain, like flowing streams  in a dry land and the shade of a massive rock in an arid land.


Speak up and present your case  ,  – yes, let them consult each other. Who predicted this long ago? Who announced it from ancient times? Was it not I, the Lord? There is no other God but me, a righteous God and Saviour; there is no one except me.


Lord, my strength and my stronghold, my refuge in a time of distress, the nations will come to you from the ends of the earth, and they will say, ‘Our ancestors inherited only lies, worthless idols  of no benefit at all.’


For this is what the Lord of Armies, the God of Israel, says: I am about to eliminate from this place, before your very eyes and in your time, the sound of joy and gladness, the voice of the groom and the bride.


and my spirit rejoices  in God my Saviour,


He has raised up a horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David,


salvation from our enemies and from the hand of those who hate us.


He will say, ‘Where are their gods, the ‘rock’ they found refuge in?


The Rock   #– #his work is perfect; all his ways are just. A faithful God,  without bias, he is righteous and true.


How happy you are, Israel! Who is like you, a people saved by the  Lord? He is the shield that protects you, the sword you boast in. Your enemies will cringe before you, and you will tread on their backs.  ,


But when the kindness of God our Saviour and his love for mankind appeared,


He poured out his Spirit on us abundantly  through Jesus Christ our Saviour


Again, I will trust in him.   And again, Here I am with the children God gave me.   ,


Hannah prayed: My heart rejoices in the  Lord; my horn is lifted up by the  Lord. My mouth boasts over my enemies, because I rejoice in your salvation.


There is no one holy like the  Lord. There is no one besides you! And there is no rock like our God.
