When Joab had turned back from pursuing Abner, he gathered all the troops. In addition to Asahel, nineteen of David’s soldiers were missing,


Abner son of Ner, commander of Saul’s army,  took Saul’s son Ish-bosheth  , and moved him to Mahanaim.


They had entered the house while Ish-bosheth was lying on his bed in his bedroom and stabbed and killed him. They removed his head, took it, and travelled by way of the Arabah  all night.


Until the day breaks and the shadows flee, turn around, my love, and be like a gazelle or a young stag  on the divided mountains.  ,
