When a person approached to pay homage to him, Absalom reached out his hand, took hold of him, and kissed him.


Don’t boast about yourself before the king, and don’t stand in the place of the great;


Let another praise you, and not your own mouth – a stranger, and not your own lips.


They promise them freedom, but they themselves are slaves of corruption, since people are enslaved to whatever defeats them.


If only these people were in my power, I would remove Abimelech.’ So he said  to Abimelech, ‘Gather your army and come out.’
