Their nobles send their servants  for water. They go to the cisterns; they find no water; their containers return empty. They are ashamed and humiliated; they cover their heads.


What am I going to do with you, Ephraim? What am I going to do with you, Judah? Your love is like the morning mist and like the early dew that vanishes.


‘Then the king told the attendants, “Tie him up hand and foot,   and throw him into the outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”


And throw this good-for-nothing servant into the outer darkness,   where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”


But the sons of the kingdom will be thrown into the outer darkness where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’


Then we will no longer be little children, tossed by the waves and blown around by every wind of teaching,  by human cunning with cleverness in the techniques of deceit.


For you have not come to what could be touched, to a blazing fire, to darkness, gloom, and storm,


For if God didn’t spare  the angels who sinned but cast them into hell  , and delivered them in chains  of utter darkness to be kept for judgement;


and the angels  who did not keep their own position but abandoned their proper dwelling, he has kept in eternal chains in deep darkness for the judgement on the great day.
