Then David rested with his ancestors  and was buried in the city of David.


It was his servants Jozabad  son of Shimeath and Jehozabad son of Shomer who attacked him. He died  and they buried him with his ancestors in the city of David, and his son Amaziah became king in his place.


He slaughtered on the altars all the priests of those high places,  and he burned human bones on the altars.  Then he returned to Jerusalem.


From Megiddo his servants carried his dead body in a chariot, brought him into Jerusalem, and buried him in his own tomb.  Then the common people  took Jehoahaz son of Josiah, anointed him, and made him king in place of his father.


Jehoram rested with his ancestors and was buried with his ancestors in the city of David, and his son Ahaziah became king in his place.


Then Jehu looked for Ahaziah,  and Jehu’s soldiers captured him (he was hiding in Samaria). So they brought Ahaziah to Jehu, and they killed him. The soldiers buried him, for they said, ‘He is the grandson of Jehoshaphat who sought the Lord with all his heart.’  So no one from the house of Ahaziah had the strength to rule the kingdom.


They carried him back on horses and buried him with his ancestors in the city of Judah.  ,


So his servants took him out of the war chariot, carried him in his second chariot, and brought him to Jerusalem. Then he died, and they buried him in the tomb of his ancestors. All Judah and Jerusalem mourned  for Josiah.
