Jotham rested with his ancestors and was buried with his ancestors in the city of his ancestor David.  His son Ahaz became king in his place.


In the twelfth year of Judah’s King Ahaz, Hoshea  son of Elah became king over Israel in Samaria, and he reigned for nine years.

The vision  concerning Judah and Jerusalem that Isaiah  son of Amoz saw during the reigns  of Kings Uzziah,  Jotham,  Ahaz,  and Hezekiah  of Judah.


This took place during the reign of Ahaz, son of Jotham, son of Uzziah, king of Judah:  Aram’s King Rezin and Israel’s King Pekah son of Remaliah went to fight against Jerusalem,  but they were not able to conquer it.


Then the Lord spoke again to Ahaz:


The Lord said to Isaiah, ‘Go out with your son Shear-jashub  , to meet Ahaz at the end of the conduit of the upper pool,  by the road to the Launderer’s Field.
