On the fifteenth day  he sent the people away. So they blessed the king and went to their homes  rejoicing and with happy hearts for all the goodness that the Lord had done for his servant David and for his people Israel.


Then Hezekiah and all the people rejoiced over how God had prepared the people, for it had come about suddenly.


There was great rejoicing in Jerusalem, for nothing like this was known since the days of Solomon son of David, the king of Israel.


Now therefore: Arise, Lord God, come to your resting place, you and your powerful ark. May your priests, Lord  God, be clothed with salvation, and may your faithful people rejoice in goodness.


So Solomon finished the Lord’s temple and the royal palace. Everything that had entered Solomon’s heart to do for the Lord’s temple and for his own palace succeeded.


On the eighth day  they held a solemn assembly,  for the dedication of the altar lasted seven days and the festival seven days.


Then he said to them, ‘Go and eat what is rich, drink what is sweet, and send portions to those who have nothing prepared,  since today  is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, because the joy of the Lord is your strength.’  ,


Moses’s father-in-law, Jethro, the priest of Midian,  heard about everything that God had done for Moses and for God’s people Israel when the Lord brought Israel out of Egypt.


At the festival that begins on the fifteenth day of the seventh month,  , he will provide the same things for seven days #– #the same sin offerings, burnt offerings, grain offerings, and oil.


He brought them into his house, set a meal before them, and rejoiced because he had come to believe in God with his entire household.


Every day they devoted themselves to meeting together in the temple, and broke bread from house to house. They ate their food with joyful and sincere hearts,


You will rejoice  before the Lord your God #– #you, your sons and daughters, your male and female slaves, and the Levite who is within your city gates, since he has no portion or inheritance among you.


You are to eat them in the presence of the Lord your God at the place the Lord your God chooses #– #you, your son and daughter, your male and female slave, and the Levite who is within your city gates. Rejoice before the Lord your God in everything you do,


You will eat there in the presence of the Lord your God and rejoice with your household in everything you do,  because the Lord your God has blessed you.


Rejoice  before the Lord your God in the place where he chooses to have his name dwell #– #you, your son and daughter, your male and female slave, the Levite within your city gates, as well as the resident foreigner, the fatherless, and the widow among you.


Rejoice during your festival #– #you, your son and daughter, your male and female slave, as well as the Levite, the resident foreigner, the fatherless, and the widow within your city gates.


Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!
