I have indeed built an exalted temple  for you, a place for your dwelling for ever.


When the chariot commanders saw Jehoshaphat, they shouted, ‘He must be the king of Israel! ’ So they turned to attack him, but Jehoshaphat cried out  and the Lord helped him. God drew them away from him.


who gathered to seek the Lord. They even came from all the cities of Judah to seek him.


may you hear in heaven in your dwelling place, and do all the foreigner asks you. Then all the peoples of the earth will know your name, to fear you as your people Israel do and know that this temple I have built bears your name.


may you hear their prayer and petition in heaven and uphold their cause.


But I have chosen Jerusalem so that my name will be there, and I have chosen David to be over my people Israel.’


What answer will be given to the messengers from that nation? The Lord has founded Zion, and his oppressed people find refuge in her.


When Daniel learned that the document had been signed, he went into his house. The windows in its upstairs room opened towards Jerusalem,  and three times a day he got down on his knees, prayed, and gave thanks to his God,  just as he had done before.


and then sent you on a mission and said, “Go and completely destroy the sinful Amalekites. Fight against them until you have annihilated them.”
