Solomon began to build the temple for the Lord in the four hundred and eightieth year  after the Israelites came out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year of his reign over Israel, in the month of Ziv, which is the second month.  ,


He began to build on the second day of the second month in the fourth year of his reign.


The width of the entrance was 5.3 metres,  and the side walls of the entrance were 2.65 metres  wide on each side. He also measured the length of the great hall, 21.2 metres,  and the width, 10.6 metres.  ,
