Jehoshaphat also appointed in Jerusalem some of the Levites and priests and some of the Israelite family heads for deciding the Lord’s will and for settling disputes of the residents of  Jerusalem.


But you should select from all the people able men, God-fearing, trustworthy, and hating dishonest profit.  Place them over the people as commanders of thousands, hundreds, fifties, and tens.


Then they are to take different stones to replace the former ones and take additional plaster to replaster the house.


‘You have heard that it was said to our ancestors, Do not murder,   , and whoever murders will be subject to judgement.


But I tell you, everyone who is angry with his brother or sister   will be subject to judgement. Whoever insults   his brother or sister will be subject to the court.   Whoever says, “You fool! ” will be subject to hellfire.   ,


Do not show partiality when deciding a case;  listen to small and great alike. Do not be intimidated by anyone, for judgement belongs to God.  Bring me any case too difficult for you, and I will hear it.
