9 For the eyes of the Lord roam throughout the earth  to show himself strong for those who are wholeheartedly devoted to him.  You have been foolish in this matter. Therefore, you will have wars from now on.’

David’s conscience troubled him  after he had taken a census of the troops. He said to the Lord, ‘I have sinned greatly in what I’ve done. Now, Lord, because I’ve been very foolish,  please take away your servant’s guilt.’


There was war between Asa and King Baasha of Israel throughout their reigns.


‘Please, Lord, remember  how I have walked before you faithfully and wholeheartedly and have done what pleases you.’  , And Hezekiah wept bitterly.


David said to God, ‘I have sinned greatly because I have done this thing. Now, please take away your servant’s guilt, for I’ve been very foolish.’

But God was watching  over  the Jewish elders. These men wouldn’t stop them until a report was sent to Darius, so that they could receive written instructions about this matter.


For he looks to the ends of the earth and sees everything under the heavens.


Does he not see my ways and number all my steps?


For his eyes watch over a man’s ways, and he observes all his steps.


The eyes of the  Lord are everywhere, observing the wicked and the good.


For a man’s ways are before the  Lord’s eyes, and he considers all his paths.

You fool! What you sow does not come to life  unless it dies.


You foolish  Galatians! Who has cast a spell on you,  before whose eyes Jesus Christ was publicly portrayed  as crucified?


No creature is hidden from him, but all things are naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom  we must give an account.


because the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are open to their prayer. But the face of the Lord is against those who do what is evil.
