³ So they summoned him. Then Jeroboam and all Israel came and spoke to Rehoboam:

³ And they sent and called him; and Jeroboam and all Israel came, and they spake to Rehoboam, saying,

³ The people sent and called for Jeroboam, who along with all Israel came and said to Rehoboam,

³ And they summoned him, and he arrived with all of Israel. And they spoke to Rehoboam, saying:

Féach an chaibidil Cóip

³ And they sent for him; and he came with all Israel. And they spoke to Roboam, saying:

Féach an chaibidil Cóip

But they summoned him, and Jeroboam and the whole assembly of Israel came and spoke to Rehoboam:

When Jeroboam son of Nebat heard about it #– #for he was in Egypt where he had fled from King Solomon’s presence #– #Jeroboam returned from Egypt.

‘Your father made our yoke harsh. Therefore, lighten your father’s harsh service and the heavy yoke he put on us, and we will serve you.’
