So God said to him, ‘Because you have requested this and did not ask for long life  or riches for yourself,  or the death  of your enemies, but you asked discernment for yourself to administer justice,


although my hands are free from violence and my prayer is pure.


The sacrifice of the wicked is detestable to the  Lord, but the prayer of the upright is his delight.


The sacrifice of a wicked person is detestable  – how much more so when he brings it with ulterior motives!


When you spread out your hands in prayer, I will refuse to look at you; even if you offer countless prayers, I will not listen. Your hands are covered with blood.


Jesus answered them, ‘Truly I tell you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you tell this mountain, “Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,” it will be done.


But I tell you, love your enemies   and pray for those who   persecute you,


And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.


Then Jesus said, “Father,   forgive   them, because they do not know what they are doing.”   , And they divided his clothes and cast lots.


Then he led them out to the vicinity of Bethany,  and lifting up his hands  he blessed them.


Jesus told her, ‘Believe me, woman, an hour is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem.


He was a devout man and feared God along with his whole household. He did many charitable deeds for the Jewish people and always prayed to God.


and said, “Cornelius, your prayer has been heard, and your acts of charity have been remembered in God’s sight.


Staring at him in awe, he said, ‘What is it, Lord? ’ The angel told him, ‘Your prayers and your acts of charity have ascended as a memorial offering before God.


When our time had come to an end, we left to continue our journey, while all of them, with their wives and children, accompanied us out of the city. After kneeling down on the beach to pray,


He knelt down and cried out with a loud voice,  ‘Lord, do not hold this sin against them! ’ And after saying this, he fell asleep.


To the church of God at Corinth,  to those sanctified  in Christ Jesus, called  as saints, with all those in every place who call on the name  of Jesus Christ our Lord #– #both their Lord and ours.


I wish that all people were as I am. But each has his own gift  from God, one person has this gift, another has that.


But thanks be to God,  who always leads us in Christ’s triumphal procession and through us spreads the aroma of the knowledge of him in every place.


Now I want you to know, brothers and sisters, that what has happened to me has actually advanced the gospel,


For the word of the Lord rang out from you, not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but in every place that your faith  , in God has gone out. Therefore, we don’t need to say anything,


Therefore, I want younger women to marry,  have children, manage their households, and give the adversary no opportunity to accuse us.


This saying is trustworthy.  I want you to insist on these things, so that those who have believed God might be careful to devote themselves to good works. These are good and profitable for everyone.


let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, with our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed in pure water.


Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.


Husbands,  in the same way, live with your wives in an understanding way, as with a weaker partner,  showing them honour as co-heirs of the grace of life, so that your prayers will not be hindered.
