But the children inside her struggled with each other, and she said, ‘Why is this happening to me? ’  So she went to enquire of the Lord.


When David got up in the morning, the word of the Lord had come to the prophet Gad,  David’s seer:


Still, the Lord warned  Israel and Judah through every prophet and every seer, saying, ‘Turn from your evil ways and keep my commands and statutes according to the whole law I commanded your ancestors and sent to you through my servants the prophets.’


Then  the Lord instructed Gad,  David’s seer,


All that the seer Samuel, Saul son of Kish, Abner son of Ner, and Joab son of Zeruiah had dedicated, along with everything else that had been dedicated, were in the care of Shelomith and his relatives.


As for the events of King David’s reign, from beginning to end, note that they are written in the Events of the Seer Samuel,  the Events of the Prophet Nathan,  and the Events of the Seer Gad,


The total number of those chosen to be gatekeepers at the thresholds was 212. They were registered by genealogy in their settlements. David and the seer Samuel had appointed them  to their trusted positions.


Asa was enraged with the seer and put him in prison  because of his anger over this. And Asa mistreated some of the people at that time.


At that time, the seer Hanani  came to King Asa of Judah and said to him, ‘Because you depended on the king of Aram and have not depended on the Lord your God,  the army of the king of Aram has escaped from you.

Then Amaziah said to Amos, ‘Go away, you seer!  Flee to the land of Judah. Earn your living  and give your prophecies there,


If the whole body were an eye, where would the hearing be? If the whole body were an ear, where would the sense of smell be?


After the death of Joshua,  the Israelites enquired of the Lord,  ‘Who will be the first to fight for us against the Canaanites? ’


Then they said to him, ‘Please enquire of God  for us to determine if we will have a successful journey.’


‘Good,’ Saul replied to his servant. ‘Come on, let’s go.’ So they went to the city where the man of God was.
