19 Now, may my lord the king please hear the words of his servant: If it is the Lord who has incited you against me,  then may he accept an offering.  But if it is people,  may they be cursed in the presence of the Lord, for today they have banished me from sharing in the inheritance of the Lord, saying,  “Go and worship other gods.”

But Judah approached him and said, ‘My lord, please let your servant speak personally to my lord. Do not be angry with your servant, for you are like Pharaoh.


When the Lord smelled the pleasing aroma,  he said to himself, ‘I will never again curse the ground  because of human beings, even though the inclination of the human heart is evil from youth onward.  And I will never again strike down every living thing as I have done.


The king will surely listen in order to keep his servant from the grasp of this man who would eliminate both me and my son from God’s inheritance.


The king replied, ‘Sons of Zeruiah, do we agree on anything?  He curses  me this way because the Lord   told him, “Curse David! ”  Therefore, who can say, “Why did you do that? ” ’


Then David said to Abishai and all his servants, ‘Look, my own son, my own flesh and blood,  intends to take my life   #– #how much more now this Benjaminite! Leave him alone and let him curse me; the Lord has told him to.


I am one of the peaceful and faithful in Israel, but you’re trying to destroy a city that is like a mother in Israel. Why would you devour the Lord’s inheritance? ’


He asked the Gibeonites, ‘What should I do for you? How can I make atonement so that you will bring a blessing on  the Lord’s inheritance? ’


The Lord’s anger burned against Israel again, and he stirred up David against them to say, ‘Go, count the people of Israel and Judah.’

Satan  , rose up against Israel and incited David  to count the people of Israel.


Don’t slander a servant to his master or he will curse you,  and you will become guilty.


Then you will see and be radiant, and your heart will tremble and rejoice, because the riches of the sea will become yours and the wealth of the nations will come to you.


I will reduce your cities to ruins and devastate your sanctuaries. I will not smell the pleasing aroma of your sacrifices.


No inheritance belonging to the Israelites is to transfer from tribe to tribe, because each of the Israelites is to retain the inheritance of his ancestral tribe.

For if your brother or sister is hurt by what you eat, you are no longer walking according to love.  Do not destroy, by what you eat, someone for whom Christ died.


I wish that those who are disturbing you would also let themselves be mutilated!


do not listen to that prophet’s words or to that dreamer. For the Lord your God is testing you to know whether you love the Lord your God with all your heart and all your soul.


Alexander  the coppersmith did great harm to me. The Lord will repay him according to his works.


The next day an evil spirit sent from God came powerfully on Saul,  and he began to rave  inside the palace. David was playing the lyre as usual,  but Saul was holding a spear,


David said to Saul, ‘Why do you listen to the words of people who say, “Look, David intends to harm you”?


She knelt at his feet and said, ‘The guilt is mine, my lord, but please let your servant speak to you directly. Listen to the words of your servant.


David said to himself, ‘One of these days I’ll be swept away by Saul. There is nothing better for me than to escape immediately to the land of the Philistines.  Then Saul will give up searching for me everywhere in Israel, and I’ll escape from him.’
