Judah recognised them and said, ‘She is more in the right  than I,  since I did not give her to my son Shelah.’ And he did not know her intimately again.


for you will heap burning coals on his head, and the Lord will reward you.


Then David asked, ‘Will the citizens of Keilah hand me and my men over to Saul? ’ ‘They will,’  the Lord responded.


When it was reported to Saul that David had gone to Keilah, he said, ‘God has handed him over to me, for he has trapped himself by entering a town with barred gates.’


You can see with your own eyes that the Lord handed you over to me today in the cave.  Someone advised me to kill you,  but I  , took pity on you and said: I won’t lift my hand against my lord, since he is the Lord’s anointed.


When a man finds his enemy, does he let him go unharmed?  , May the Lord repay you with good for what you’ve done for me today.


The Lord will repay every man for his righteousness  and his loyalty. I wasn’t willing to lift my hand against the Lord’s anointed, even though the Lord handed you over to me today.


Then Abishai said to David, ‘Today God has delivered your enemy to you. Let me thrust the spear through him into the ground just once. I won’t have to strike him twice! ’
