41 When the servant had gone, David got up from the south side of the stone Ezel, fell face down to the ground, and paid homage three times.  Then he and Jonathan kissed each other and wept with each other, though David wept more.

Then Jacob kissed Rachel and wept loudly.


When Laban heard the news about his sister’s son Jacob, he ran to meet him, hugged him, and kissed him. Then he took him to his house, and Jacob told him all that had happened.


But Esau ran to meet him, hugged him, threw his arms round him, and kissed him. Then they wept.


Joseph was in charge of the country; he sold grain to all its people. His brothers came and bowed down before him with their faces to the ground.


They answered, ‘Your servant our father is well. He is still alive.’ And they knelt low and paid homage to him.


Joseph kissed each of his brothers as he wept,  and afterwards his brothers talked with him.


On the third day a man with torn clothes and dust on his head  came from Saul’s camp. When he came to David, he fell to the ground and paid homage.

There were many tears shed by everyone. They embraced Paul and kissed him,


Samuel took the flask of oil,  poured it out on Saul’s head,  kissed him, and said, ‘Hasn’t the Lord anointed you  ruler over his inheritance?  ,


Jonathan made a covenant with David  because he loved him as much as himself.


Then Jonathan gave his equipment to the servant who was with him and said, ‘Go, take it back to the city.’


David said to Saul, ‘Why do you listen to the words of people who say, “Look, David intends to harm you”?


When Abigail saw David, she quickly got off the donkey and knelt down with her face to the ground and paid homage to David.
