45 But the people said to Saul, ‘Must Jonathan die? He accomplished such a great deliverance for Israel! No, as the Lord lives, not a hair of his head will fall to the ground,  for he worked with God’s help today.’  So the people redeemed Jonathan, and he did not die.

She replied, ‘Please, may the king invoke the Lord your God, so that the avenger of blood will not increase the loss, and they will not eliminate my son! ’ ‘As the Lord lives,’ he vowed, ‘not a hair of your son will fall to the ground.’


Then Solomon said, ‘If he is a man of character, not a single hair of his will fall to the ground,  but if evil is found in him, he dies.’


‘Note that Amariah, the chief priest, is over you in all matters related to the Lord, and Zebadiah son of Ishmael, the ruler of the house of Judah, in all matters related to the king, and the Levites are officers in your presence. Be strong; may the Lord be with those who do what is good.’


So you handed them over to their enemies, who oppressed them. In their time of distress, they cried out to you, and you heard from heaven. In your abundant compassion you gave them deliverers, who rescued them from the power of their enemies.


I have commanded my consecrated ones; yes, I have called my warriors, who celebrate my triumph, to execute my wrath.


But even the hairs of your head have all been counted.


but not a hair of your head will be lost.


After they arrived and gathered the church together, they reported everything God had done with them  and that he had opened the door  of faith to the Gentiles.


The whole assembly became silent and listened to Barnabas and Paul describe all the signs and wonders God had done through them among the Gentiles.


After greeting them, he reported in detail what God had done among the Gentiles through his ministry.


So I urge you to take some food. For this is for your survival, since none of you will lose a hair from your head.’


For I would not dare say anything except what Christ has accomplished through me  by word and deed for the obedience of the Gentiles,


For we are God’s co-workers.  You are God’s field, God’s building.


Working together with him, we also appeal to you, ‘Don’t receive the grace of God in vain.’


These will make war against the Lamb, but the Lamb will conquer them because he is Lord of lords and King of kings.  Those with him are called, chosen, and faithful.’


The armies that were in heaven followed him on white horses, wearing pure white linen.


But Saul ordered, ‘No one will be executed this day, for today the Lord has provided deliverance in Israel.’


So the Lord saved Israel that day. The battle extended beyond Beth-aven,


Then Saul gave up the pursuit of the Philistines, and the Philistines returned to their own territory.


He took his life in his hands when he struck down the Philistine,  and the Lord brought about a great victory for all Israel.  You saw it and rejoiced, so why would you sin against innocent blood by killing David for no reason? ’
