2 He built the House of the Forest of Lebanon.  It was forty-five metres  long, twenty-three metres  wide, and thirteen and a half metres  high on four rows of cedar pillars, with cedar beams on top of the pillars.

He made three hundred small shields of hammered gold; nearly two kilograms  of gold went into each shield. The king put them in the House of the Forest of Lebanon.


All of King Solomon’s drinking cups were gold, and all the utensils of the House of the Forest of Lebanon  were pure gold.  There was no silver, since it was considered as nothing in Solomon’s time,


It was panelled above with cedar at the top of the chambers that rested on forty-five pillars, fifteen per row.


When Solomon finished building the temple of the Lord,  the royal palace, and all that Solomon desired to do,


all the storage cities that belonged to Solomon, the chariot cities,  the cavalry cities,  and whatever Solomon desired to build  in Jerusalem, Lebanon, or anywhere else in the land of his dominion.


He made three hundred small shields of hammered gold; 3.5 kilograms  of gold went into each shield. The king put them in the House of the Forest of Lebanon.
