27 Then he put the cherubim inside the inner temple. Since their wings were spread out, the first one’s wing touched one wall while the second cherub’s wing touched the other  wall, and in the middle of the temple their wings were touching wing to wing.

The first cherub’s height was 4.5 metres and so was the second cherub’s.


He also overlaid the cherubim with gold.


The priests brought the ark of the Lord’s covenant to its place, into the inner sanctuary of the temple, to the most holy place  beneath the wings of the cherubim.


For the cherubim were spreading their wings over  the place of the ark, so that the cherubim covered the ark and its poles from above.


The overall length of the wings of the cherubim was 9 metres: the wing of one was 2.25 metres,  touching the wall of the room; its other wing was 2.25 metres, touching the wing of the other cherub.


And the cherubim spread their wings over the place of the ark so that the cherubim formed a cover above the ark and its poles.


The cherubim are to have wings spread out above, covering  the mercy seat with their wings, and are to face one another. The faces of the cherubim should be towards the mercy seat.


They had wings spread out. They faced each other and covered the mercy seat with their wings. The faces of the cherubim were looking towards the mercy seat.
