Then Joseph said, ‘I swear that I will not do this. The man in whose possession the cup was found will be my slave. The rest of you can go in peace to your father.’


They said to him, ‘Why does my lord say these things? Your servants could not possibly do such a thing.


David said, ‘I would never do such a thing in the presence of my God! How can I drink the blood of these men who risked their lives? ’ For they brought it at the risk of their lives. So he would not drink it. Such were the exploits of the three warriors.


I will never affirm that you are right. I will maintain my integrity  , until I die.


The prince must not take any of the people’s inheritance, evicting them from their property.  He is to provide an inheritance for his sons from his own property, so that none of my people will be displaced from his own property.’


‘The land is not to be permanently sold because it is mine, and you are only foreigners and temporary residents on my land.  ,


No inheritance belonging to the Israelites is to transfer from tribe to tribe, because each of the Israelites is to retain the inheritance of his ancestral tribe.


No inheritance is to transfer from one tribe to another, because each of the Israelite tribes is to retain its inheritance.’


Do we then nullify the law through faith? Absolutely not!  On the contrary, we uphold the law.


Absolutely not!  Let God be true, even though everyone is a liar,  as it is written: That you may be justified in your words and triumph when you judge.   ,


Absolutely not! Otherwise, how will God judge the world?


What then? Should we sin because we are not under the law but under grace?  Absolutely not!


Absolutely not!  How can we who died to sin  still live in it?


Therefore, did what is good become death to me? Absolutely not!  But sin, in order to be recognised as sin, was producing death in me through what is good, so that through the commandment, sin might become sinful beyond measure.


What should we say then?  Is the law sin? Absolutely not!  But I would not have known sin if it were not for the law.  For example, I would not have known what it is to covet if the law had not said, Do not covet.   ,


Don’t you know that your bodies are a part of Christ’s body?  So should I take a part of Christ’s body and make it part of a prostitute? Absolutely not!


But as for me, I will never boast about anything except the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ. The world has been crucified to me through the cross, and I to the world.


We would never ever rebel against the Lord or turn away from him today by building an altar for burnt offering, grain offering, or sacrifice, other than the altar of the Lord our God, which is in front of his tabernacle.’


The people replied, ‘We will certainly not abandon the Lord to worship other gods!


‘As for me, I vow that I will not sin against the Lord by ceasing to pray for you.  I will teach you the good and right way.


He said to his men, ‘As the Lord is my witness, I would never do such a thing to my lord, the Lord’s anointed.  I will never lift my hand against him, since he is the Lord’s anointed.’
