So Abraham got up early in the morning,  saddled his donkey, and took with him two of his young men and his son Isaac. He split wood for a burnt offering and set out to go to the place God had told him about.


But then, at the end of three years, two of Shimei’s slaves ran away to Achish  son of Maacah, king of Gath.  Shimei was informed, ‘Look, your slaves are in Gath.’


It was reported to Solomon that Shimei had gone from Jerusalem to Gath and had returned.


The one who profits dishonestly  troubles his household, but the one who hates bribes will live.


He then told them, ‘Watch out and be on your guard   against all greed,   because one’s life is not in the abundance of his possessions.’


For the love of money is a root  of all kinds of evil, and by craving it, some have wandered away from the faith  and pierced themselves with many griefs.
