You are to drink from the wadi. I have commanded the ravens  to provide for you there.’


The ravens kept bringing him bread and meat in the morning and in the evening,  and he would drink from the wadi.


He entered a cave  there and spent the night. Suddenly, the word of the Lord came to him, and he said to him, ‘What are you doing here, Elijah? ’


Then the Israelites went and did this; they did just as the Lord had commanded Moses and Aaron.


Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding;


Then Jesus said to his disciples, ‘If anyone wants to follow after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me.


You are my friends if you do what I command you.
