In the thirty-first year of Judah’s King Asa, Omri became king over Israel, and he reigned for twelve years. He reigned for six years in Tirzah,


Ahaziah was twenty-two years old when he became king, and he reigned for one year in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Athaliah, granddaughter of Israel’s King Omri.


All of them are as hot as an oven, and they consume their rulers. All their kings fall; not one of them calls on me.
