47 ‘The king’s servants have also gone to congratulate our lord King David, saying, “May your God make the name of Solomon more well known than your name, and may he make his throne greater than your throne.”  Then the king bowed in worship on his bed.

He asked the Gibeonites, ‘What should I do for you? How can I make atonement so that you will bring a blessing on  the Lord’s inheritance? ’


he sent his son Joram to King David to greet him and to congratulate him because David had fought against Hadadezer and defeated him, for Toi and Hadadezer had fought many wars. Joram had items of silver, gold, and bronze with him.


Just as the Lord was with my lord the king,  so may he  be with Solomon and make his throne greater than the throne of my lord King David.’


so that they can offer sacrifices of pleasing aroma to the God of the heavens and pray for the life of the king and his sons.


Take even your flocks and your herds as you asked and leave, and also bless me.’


Blessed is the King   who comes in the name of the Lord.   , Peace in heaven and glory  in the highest heaven!
