The Spirit of the Lord God is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to heal  the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and freedom to the prisoners;


While he was still speaking, suddenly a bright cloud covered  them, and a voice from the cloud said, ‘This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well-pleased. Listen to him! ’


But if he won’t listen, take one or two others with you, so that by the testimony   of two or three witnesses every fact may be established.   ,


Go, therefore, and make disciples   of   all nations,   baptising   them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,


In the beginning  was the Word,  and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.


Father, glorify your name.’   , Then a voice  came from heaven:  ‘I have glorified it, and I will glorify it again.’


He is the Spirit   of truth.   The world is unable to receive him because it doesn’t see him or know him. But you do know him, because he remains with you and will be   in you.


‘When the Counsellor   comes, the one I will send to you from the Father   #– #the Spirit of truth   who proceeds from the Father #– #he will testify about me.


For just as the Father has life in himself, so also he has granted to the Son   to have life in himself.


I am the one who testifies   about myself, and the Father who sent me testifies about me.’


‘If I glorify myself,’ Jesus answered, ‘my glory is nothing. My Father #– #about whom you say, “He is our God” #– #he is the one who glorifies me.


Therefore, since he has been exalted to the right hand of God  and has received from the Father the promised Holy Spirit,  he has poured out  what you both see and hear.


We are witnesses of these things, and so is the Holy Spirit  whom God has given to those who obey him.’

What was from the beginning,  what we have heard, what we have seen with our eyes, what we have observed and have touched with our hands, concerning the word  of life #– #


Jesus Christ #– #he is the one who came by water and blood, not by water only, but by water  and by blood.  And the Spirit is the one who testifies,  because the Spirit is the truth.


the Spirit,  the water, and the blood   #– #and these three are in agreement.


He wore a robe dipped in blood,  and his name is called the Word of God.
