Ulam’s son: Bedan. These were the sons of Gilead son of Machir, son of Manasseh.


Shemida’s sons: Ahian, Shechem, Likhi, and Aniam.


These were Gilead’s descendants: the Iezerite clan from Iezer; the Helekite clan from Helek;


So the land allotted was for the rest of Manasseh’s descendants by their clans, for the sons of Abiezer, Helek, Asriel, Shechem, Hepher, and Shemida. These are the male descendants of Manasseh son of Joseph, by their clans.


The angel of the Lord   came, and he sat under the oak that was in Ophrah,  which belonged to Joash, the Abiezrite. His son Gideon was threshing wheat in the winepress in order to hide it from the Midianites.


So Gideon built an altar to the Lord there and called it The Lord Is Peace.  It is still in Ophrah of the Abiezrites today.


The Spirit of the Lord enveloped  Gideon,  and he blew the ram’s horn and the Abiezrites rallied behind him.


So he said to them, ‘What have I done now compared to you? Is not the gleaning  of Ephraim better than the grape harvest  of Abiezer?
