When Shaul died, Baal-hanan son of Achbor reigned in his place.


The king made silver as common in Jerusalem as stones,  and he made cedar  as abundant as sycamore in the Judean foothills.


The Israelites mobilised, gathered supplies, and went to fight them. The Israelites camped in front of them like two little flocks of goats, while the Arameans filled the landscape.


Solomon had twelve district governors for all Israel. They provided food for the king and his household; each one made provision for one month out of the year.
