David captured one thousand seven hundred horsemen  and twenty thousand foot soldiers from him, and he hamstrung all the horses  and kept a hundred chariots.


Solomon accumulated 1,400 chariots and 12,000 horsemen  and stationed them in the chariot cities and with the king in Jerusalem.


and these were his officials: Azariah son of Zadok, priest;


David also defeated King Hadadezer of Zobah at Hamath when he went to establish his control at the River Euphrates.

Joshua treated them as the Lord had told him; he hamstrung their horses and burned their chariots.
