⁴ ‘Go to David my servant and say, “This is what the Lord says: You are not the one to build me a house to dwell in.

⁴ Go to my servant David and tell him, This is what the LORD says: You are not the one to build the temple for me to live in.

⁴ "Go, and speak to my servant David: Thus says the Lord: You shall not build a house for me as a dwelling place.

⁴ Go, and speak to David my servant: Thus saith the Lord: Thou shalt not build me a house to dwell in.

Yet you are not the one to build it; instead, your son, your own offspring, will build it for my name.’
