21 And who is like your people Israel? God, you came to one nation on earth to redeem a people for yourself, to make a name for yourself through great and awesome works by driving out nations before your people you redeemed from Egypt.

Lord, there is no one like you, and there is no God besides you, as all we have heard confirms.


You made your people Israel your own people for ever, and you, Lord, have become their God.


You performed signs and wonders against Pharaoh, all his officials, and all the people of his land, for you knew how arrogantly they treated our ancestors. You made a name for yourself that endures to this day.


‘Therefore tell the Israelites: I am the Lord, and I will bring you out from the forced labour of the Egyptians and rescue you from slavery to them. I will redeem you with an outstretched arm  and great acts of judgement.


I will delay my anger for the sake of my name, and I will restrain myself for your benefit and for my praise, so that you will not be destroyed.


He made his glorious strength available at the right hand of Moses, divided the water before them to make an eternal name for himself,


In all their suffering, he suffered,  , and the angel of his presence saved them. He redeemed them because of his love and compassion; he lifted them up and carried them all the days of the past.


When you did awesome works that we did not expect, you came down, and the mountains quaked at your presence.


You brought your people Israel out of Egypt with signs and wonders, with a strong hand and an outstretched arm, and with great terror.


Remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt and the Lord your God redeemed  you; that is why I am giving you this command today.


For what great nation is there that has a god near to it as the Lord our God is to us whenever we call to him?


He gave himself for us  to redeem us from all lawlessness and to cleanse for himself a people for his own possession,  eager to do good works.


Joshua captured all these kings and their land in one campaign, because the Lord, the God of Israel, fought for Israel.
