But will God indeed live on earth? Even heaven, the highest heaven, cannot contain you, much less this temple I have built.


David was angry because of the Lord’s outburst against Uzzah, so he named that place Outburst Against Uzzah,  as it is still named today.


So David did not bring the ark of God home  to the city of David; instead, he diverted it to the house of Obed-edom of Gath.


but David could not go before it to enquire of God, because he was terrified of the sword of the Lord’s angel.


Then I said: Woe is me,  for I am ruined, because I am a man of unclean lips and live among a people of unclean lips, and because my eyes have seen the King, the Lord of Armies.


‘The man who had received one talent also approached and said, “Master, I know you. You’re a harsh man, reaping where you haven’t sown and gathering where you haven’t scattered seed.


The people of Beth-shemesh asked, ‘Who is able to stand in the presence of the Lord this holy God?  To whom should the ark go from here? ’
