Jesus responded and said to them, "This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he sent."


For, being ignorant of the justice of God, and seeking to establish their own justice, they have not subjected themselves to the justice of God.


And the justice of God, though the faith of Jesus Christ, is in all those and over all those who believe in him. For there is no distinction.


but also for our sake. For the same shall be reputed to us, if we believe in him who raised up our Lord Jesus Christ from the dead,


For what does Scripture say? "Abram believed God, and it was reputed to him unto justice."


Similarly, David also declares the blessedness of a man, to whom God brings justice without works:


and so that you may be found in him, not having my justice, which is of the law, but that which is of the faith of Christ Jesus, the justice within faith, which is of God.


And he spoke to the people in this way: "Thus says the Lord, the God of Israel: 'Your fathers lived, in the beginning, across the river: Terah, the father of Abraham, and Nahor. And they served strange gods.
