It is like a man who, setting out on a sojourn, left behind his house, and gave his servants authority over every work, and instructed the doorkeeper to stand watch.


If anyone serves me, let him follow me. And where I am, there too my minister shall be. If anyone has served me, my Father will honor him.


For it has been written in the book of Psalms: 'Let their dwelling place be desolate and may there be no one who dwells within it,' and 'Let another take his episcopate.'


Take care of yourselves and of the entire flock, over which the Holy Spirit has stationed you as Bishops to rule the Church of God, which he has purchased by his own blood.


But Ananias responded: "Lord, I have heard from many about this man, how much harm he has done to your saints in Jerusalem.
