And in accord with the word of the Lord, Hanamel, the son of my uncle, came to me, to the entrance of the prison, and he said to me: 'Take possession of my field, which is in Anathoth in the land of Benjamin. For the right of inheritance is yours, and as the next of kin you may possess it.' Then I understood that this was the word of the Lord.


If your brother, being in need, will have sold his little possession and his close relative is willing, he is able to redeem what he had sold.

These things shall be a perpetual ordinance in all your habitations.


And this has been done from that day and thereafter. And it was established as a statute, and as if a law, in Israel even to this day.
