And it pleased the entire multitude that they should celebrate, even for another seven days. And they did this with enormous gladness.


And so all the people went forth, so that they might eat and drink, and so that they might send portions, and so that they might make a great rejoicing. For they understood the words that he had taught to them.


And they found written in the law, which the Lord had instructed by the hand of Moses, that the sons of Israel should live in tabernacles on the day of solemnity in the seventh month,


Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge. But whoever hates correction is unwise.


And they said to one another, "Was not our heart burning within us, while he was speaking on the way, and when he opened the Scriptures to us?"


Then, as they were departing, they asked them if, on the following Sabbath, they might speak these words to them.


But while they were speaking to the people, the priests and the magistrate of the temple and the Sadducees overwhelmed them,
